Davy is a lonely college junior who dives into storytelling and fantasy to escape a life weighed down by stress, family dysfunction, and a challenging roommate. When blindsided by an unexpected cancer diagnosis, paralyzed by fear and despair, Davy leaves her own disease untreated and unknown to everyone around her. She pours herself into the search for connection through the stories of others, in order to find her path through life or death decisions, learn how to tell her own story, and uncover the possibility for hope.
Rebekah M. Allen (Music/Book/Lyrics) is a writer, composer, and lyricist living in New York City. Her original work has been featured at the New York Musical Theatre Festival, the Musical Theatre Factory, the York Theatre, the Boo Festival (Award Winner), the Songwriters' Salon, Second City Chicago, and has been showcased at 54 Below in WE ARE THE TIGERS: IN CONCERT. Her original musical WE ARE THE TIGERS for which she wrote book, music, and lyrics, had its world premiere at the Hudson Backstage Theatre in Los Angeles in October, 2015. Her latest original musical, REMISSION, is currently in development. Megan Kingery (Producer) Megan is a producer of commercial theater, transmedia and multimedia, and print projects. Currently a creative producer at Blue Man Group, where Megan concieves and executes video, transmedia, print, and stage projects. She has brought investors to the Broadway productions FUN HOME, HAND TO GOD, and NATASHA, PIERRE AND THE GREAT COMET OF 1812, as well as MAT FRANCO: MAGIC REINVENTED NIGHTLY in Las Vegas. Portia Krieger (Director) Portia is a New York-based theatre director who mostly works on new plays and musicals. Portia has workshopped new plays with Playwrights Horizons, Second Stage Theatre, Roundabout Underground, New York Stage & Film, The O'Neill, Rattlestick, Page 73, Ars Nova, the Lark, the Juilliard School, and many others. She is an inaugural O'Neill/NNPN National Director's Fellow, a 2015-2016 New Georges Audrey Resident, an alumna of the Drama League Directors Project and the Lincoln Center Theater Directors Lab, a former Ars Nova Director-in-Residence, and a co-founder of the New Georges Jam. She's also the Associate Director of Fun Home on Broadway. Education: BA in Theater, Smith College.
Larry Pressgrove (Music Director) Larry Pressgrove was recently Associate Music Director for Disaster! on Broadway. Previously he was Music Director/Arranger for the Tony-nominated [TITLE OF SHOW] on Broadway as well as for NOW. HERE. THIS. at the Vineyard Theatre. He was music director/arranger for EMMET OTTER’S JUG-BAND CHRISTMAS at Goodspeed Opera House (dir. Chris Gatelli) and has been music director/conductor for CATS (Broadway), LES MISÉRABLES and THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA (national tours). He music directed various productions at Weston Playhouse in Vermont and at the Ford’s Theatre in DC. He composed the scores for four musicals including THE ANGLE OF THE SUN (NYMF 2007) and WAITING FOR SPRING (Kitchen Theatre, Ithaca NY). He is currently Music Director for many productions at La Guardia Arts High School (the Fame school).
